Satchita is a self-taught artist who grew up between New York City and Bologna, Italy, and later for five years in Southeast Asia and South America. She was raised macrobiotic, without a TV (or phone for that matter), and was encouraged instead to play in nature, animal-watch, and make art.

Her work consists of free-hand paintings and illustrations that review and draw on her love for the wild, eastern traditions, sexual empowerment and socio-political issues.

Satchita lives in the Bay Area where she works as a free-lance artist and illustrator, birth doula, and yoga/embodiment teacher.
